Here's the answer to a question you HAVEN'T asked.
Question: "Where were the website background pictures taken?
Answer: The pictures were all taken in places we've cycled and loved - the Katy Trail in Missouri, Glacier Park in Montana, the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes in Idaho, Provence and the Loire Valley in France.
Wider Towers. Recently I had a request for a wider tower so that tail lights mounted on the tower would still be visible when he has his tail trunk on his rear rack. The standard "T" towers are 8" wide and "L" towers are 9". The "L" tower I made for Jim is 14" wide. Take a look at the result. Let us know if you'd like a wider tower when you order your kit. You choose the width you want. It's only $.60/inch for every inch over the standard size.

Warren (Wozza) lives in Australia. Out for a morning ride on his beautiful red Aero, he and his friends came across this South Australian Railways 520 Class Locomotive. Only 12 were ever built. This is the Essington Lewis, and was put in to service in 1944. Perfect pair.

I got this email this morning. And here I thought folks were using our gear to make exercising more comfortable and fun. Oh well...
"Hi Steve.
Got my headrest the other day and got it installed on my 700. Just let me say that the ride now is like your head is floating on air. It is great. The only down side I can see is that I think it's going to make me even more lazy. I find myself just wanting to lay back and cruise. ...That could be a good thing. LOL!.
Thank you Jerry"
Last week at the annual TOT gathering in Idaho, with some of my very good friends as witnesses, Pat Franz and I signed the sale agreement. So, now TerraCycle (www.t-cycle.com) is the new owner of The Finer Recliner.
Creating and running this micro-enterprise for nearly 9 years has been a joyful and learning-packed experience. It all began because of my wonky neck and my belief that I could improve a small part of recumbent triking that would make riding both easier and more enjoyable for folks like me with physical challenges…or those who just wanted a more comfortable ride.
At times felt like I was being tested to the max by my own business limitations. I’ve learned so much about manufacturing from amazingly skilled people willing to share their talents and knowledge, and I was honored to have received the 2016 Bentrideronline Accessory of the Year award. Best of all, though, has been meeting thousands of wonderful people from all over the world. Most of these new friends I will probably never meet in person, but I’ve talked with many of you on the phone and visited others very far away on Google Earth. I have been enriched by you all.
TerraCycle is the perfect new home for The Finer Recliner. I'm so happy to know it will be guided by Pat Franz, someone extremely creative and way more technically skilled than me. And he has a top notch shop with great people. I am excited to see what they do.
As of July 1 all new Finer Recliner orders will be filled by TerraCycle. Over the next couple of weeks all production will be moved from Vashon Island to Portland. I'll continue doing the neck rest custom embroidery for the next year or so until Pat and crew are ready to take that part on, so I'll still get to chat with those of you placing new orders who want to personalize their gear with embroidery.
Thank you to all of you who have made this such a wonderful journey. Hopefully I’ll get to see many of you out riding. Just keep an eye out for the retired guy (well at least retired for a little while) with the neck rest that says, “Krispysteve”.
The Finer Recliner is going to its new home at TerraCycle.
